WHY APPLY FOR TURKISH RESIDENCE PERMIT?
.
In order to stay in Turkey longer than your tourist or commercial visa or over 90 days, the regulation under Turkish law requires non-Turkish nationals to obtain Turkish Residence Permit. The Turkish Residence Permit is granted by the Migration Office within the body of the Turkish Ministry of Interior. There are different residence permit types with the three most common being ;

- Short Term Residence Permit: Issued to individual, to both foreigner married couple and their children. The Short Term Residence Permit allows you to stay in Turkey without a visa, from 3 months, 6 months, 1 year upto 2 years each instance. This residence permit is renewed each year with a renewal application, starting from 60 days before expiration date.

Note: Upon completed 60 months total stay in Turkey with Short Term Residence Permit you are automatically entitled to obtain Turkish citizenship, e-Passport + National ID.
. - Student Residence Permit: Issued to individual only. The Student Residence Permit allows you to stay and study in Turkey at College or University educational institutions for higher level education completion. This residence permit is renewed each year with a renewal application, starting from 60 days before expiration date, pending that you continue education.

- Family Residence Permit: Issued to married couples with children, where one parent is Turkish citizen and the other parent a foreigner citizen. Family Residence Permit is issued for 3 years with no renewal, where after the foreigner spouse is entitled to transfer to Turkish citizenship for family unity.

HOW TO APPLY FOR TURKISH RESIDENCE PERMIT?

- Send your passport copy via WhatsApp and service fee. Our dedicated form fill-in Expert will complete the (7 page) residence permit application form within the government online system. The Expert will be in direct contact with you on WhatsApp while effecting your application form for additional information to be provided by you.
. - After your online application is completed, next our Expert will ask you to select a convenient appointment date available online in the government system (month / day / time) that you most likely can be in Turkey and will schedule to confirm your appointment accordingly.
. - Within the next few minutes you will receive via email of your government approved and registered application form, with your confirmed appointment date. The form registration number and appointment date is assigned only to you by the Directorate of Migration Office in Ankara, Turkey.
. - Then 2 – 6 weeks later (depends when you select your appointment date for convenience) you should arrive to Turkey to attend a short 10 mins interview with your original passport, to sign and provide required residence permit documents to finalize your application process same day. After 10 – 15 days you can collect your new residence permit ID card at the local PTT post office and then exit/enter Turkey without visa.

WHEN WILL THE TURKISH RESIDENCE PERMIT ID CARD BE DELIVERED?
.
Foreigners who have an active application in process for residence permit shall be issued a 90-day stay extension document at the interview not subject to fee by the e-ikamet system. Such foreigners may reside in Turkey by virtue of this document regarding the collection of their ID card (from the district PTT post office) even if their tourist visa has already expired.
